Celebrate 60 Years of Adventure with AzRA’s Tee Shirt Art Competition!

 

We’re celebrating 60 years of thrilling adventures in Grand Canyon, and we want YOU to be part of this momentous occasion!

If you’re an artist, or know an artist, this is a chance to creatively capture the spirit of Arizona Raft Adventures! We invite you to submit your artwork, inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Canyon and the unforgettable experiences that AzRA rafting trips have provided over the decades. Let your creativity shine as you design a piece that celebrates nature, adventure, and our incredible 60-year legacy!

EVERYONE is welcome to participate! Employees, guides, past and future guests, great aunts, children, community members, anyone and everyone!

The winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to Red River Sports, along with a 5% gross commission on all retail items sold featuring their design. Additionally, for non-retail promotional items (distributed but not sold), AzRA will pay the artist a flat fee of $150 per product type.

Submission and Entry Guidelines

• The shirts will be made by Recover Brands, an apparel company who is dedicated to reducing the impact the garment industry has on the environment.
• The design is limited to a maximum of 5 colors and will be screen-printed.
• The artwork will be placed on the chest with a maximum width of 10″.
• Email your artwork to kaelin@azraft.com.
  1. The artist’s name.
  2. Contact information (email address and phone number).
  3. The design’s title.
• Submit artwork in JPEG or PDF format (winning artwork will be converted to Vector format).
• Each artist/person may submit up to 10 entries maximum.

Theme Guidelines  

• The design should celebrate AzRA’s 60 years of adventuring!  AzRA was established in 1965.
• Include either “Arizona Raft Adventures” or “AzRA” in your design and showcase the 60th anniversary.

Timeframe

• Submission deadline is January 30, 2025.
• Winner will be announced the second week of February 2025.
• Shirts will be available for purchase in April 2025. 

Fine Print 

• A contract will be signed between the artist and Arizona Raft Adventures outlining the agreement.
• The artist grants AzRA permission to use the design on t-shirts. Shirt material and style are at AzRA’s discretion.
• If AzRA wishes to use the artwork on additional products (e.g., stickers, bandanas, etc.), a separate usage agreement will be signed.
• For non-retail items (promotional items not sold, but distributed), AzRA will pay the artist a flat fee per product type of $150.
• Winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to Red River Sports that will expire one year after issuing.
• The winner will receive a 5% gross commission per T-shirt sold.
• A single compensation check will be issued in December 2025.
• If payment is over $600 a 1099 tax form will be required.
• The artist agrees not to reproduce, sell, or use the design for any purpose outside of the agreement with AzRA without AzRA’s permission.
• AzRA and Recover Brands reserve the right to make any necessary adjustments to the design to ensure it meets printing specifications.
