We offer three options for kayaking Grand Canyon. The first option is to join one of our kayak specific trips. We are the preferred outfitter for one renowned kayak school: Current Adventures. This California based establishment specializes in providing kayak adventure travel and we have been running trips with them for several years.

They choose a two week expedition in order to maximize time for kayaking Grand Canyon. This will allow ample time to paddle down the Colorado River, play in world class waves and riffles, and scout lines in the bigger rapids. This trip is also staffed with a safety boater. The safety boater is an experienced Canyon kayak guide who will assist in picking ideal routes, aid in rescue if needed, and they know where to find all of the fun surfing waves. Participating kayakers should have solid Class 4 paddling skills and a bomb-proof river roll. This is a great option for individual or small groups of kayakers. Non-kayakers are welcome to join this adventure and may ride on one of the support rafts.  Contact Current Adventures or Small World Adventures to inquire about their next adventures for kayaking Grand Canyon is scheduled with us.

If you have a group of kayak friends interested in kayaking Grand Canyon, the second option is to book on one of our existing classic adventures. We do ask all kayakers to choose a Full Canyon trip only and have Class 4 whitewater experience as a hard shell kayaker. Not all trips can accommodate the addition of kayakers and additional fees may apply . Call for additional details.
